RG Brands history of success

The story of RG Brands started in 1994, when the company began its activity as a distributor of imported consumer goods of well-known international brands, laying a wide distribution network in the foundation for its development. We decided that we would improve the quality of people's life by offering them the best. This decision has become our mission, which we implement to this day. We have chosen peaceful products that help people to maintain good, honesty, health, friendship and strong family relationships. Today we produce about two dozen brands, each of which daily pleases all members of millions of families. We highly appreciate our consumers and try to bring even greater benefits. It's their choice that inspires us to reach new heights and strive for excellence in the beverage industry.
We have honed our competencies in 5 areas, which are important drivers of growth:

1. Expert management of the marketing portfolio of brands, developed on the basis of the consumers’ needs. We have reached the level of category expertise and own the best production facilities.

1994

The company was founded in 1994 and for five years was engaged in exclusive distribution of international brand products in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. RG Brands set a global goal: "Improving people's life". And doing it with a wide range of beverages and food that maintain human values and accompany people throughout their life. The decision was to launch its own production.

1999

In 1999, the people of Kazakhstan met with the first product of RG Brands – juice Da-Da. The company signed a contract with PepsiCo and became an exclusive bottler of the world famous Pepsi brand with the opportunity to introduce in Kazakhstan the world quality standards for all products manufactured by RG Brands. The cooperation with PepsiCo became a unique event for the entire Kazakhstan FMCG industry, which became a guide in the production of domestic products.

2000

Over the next 10 years, the company dynamically developed and launched brands, each of which has taken a leading position in its segment:
- Piala Gold tea (2000)
- Moyo milk (2004)
- Nectar Solnechnyi (2005)
Each new brand in the RG Brands portfolio is a response to changing lifestyles and consumer needs.

2006

In 2006, when the category of cold beverages began to gain popularity, the company launched production of Lipton ice tea by signing a contract with Lipton International.

2007

In 2007, keeping up with the requirements of the market and the growing popularity of chips, "Grizzly" chips production was launched.

2009

In 2009, RG Brands opened the largest plant Aksengir in Central Asia with modern production lines for the production of juice, nectars, sparkling beverages and water, allowing to increase production in accordance with the growing demand.

2010

2010 was marked for the company by the release of several products. The rapid pace of life dictated new conditions when people want to keep up and get extra energy. The RG Brands' response was new products – Yeti energy drink, DaDaDay refreshing drink and ASU water with a unique balance of minerals and trace elements.

2015

In 2015, the company earned the title of National Champion and was highly appreciated by the Head of the State. The company also presented "Piala Ice Tea" brand of ice tea with fruit juice to the market based on natural "Piala Gold" tea.

2017

And again innovations – in 2017, the company presented Solnechnyi lemonade to the market – the first lemonade in the Kazakhstan market with natural fruit juice.

2018

In 2018, the company developed and produced an advanced formula of Piala Gold tea in a new original package.

2019

Improved taste and rich design of Nectar Solnechnyi has been launched in 2019 and accompanied with the Compote Solnechnyi with its very own homemade recipe.
The company has decided to quit the snack business. In accordance with the medium-term strategy, RG Brands has decided to focus on further development of highly potential segments of the hot and cold beverages market in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. For 12 years of its history, the Grizzly brand has become recognizable and well known among the youth of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan, winning recognition from its consumers.
